Built in 1836, the Holly Hill Inn is the oldest home in Pomeroy. The
Inn was the estate of Mary Pomeroy and Judge Irvin, prominent
historical figures in Meigs County history. Nestled among the hills
along the beautiful Ohio River, the Inn offers a quaint and relaxed
atmosphere. Features include a panoramic river view, antique
furniture, four working fireplaces, and the original 19th century gas
street lamps. Rates start at $59.00 per night, based on double
occupancy. Check-in is between 4 - 7p.m. and checkout is at 11a.m.
Reservations are appreciated, but not required. Most major credit
cards are accepted. The inn is available for luncheons and parties.

The Carpenter Inn is located on 250 acres of beautiful rolling hills
and woods. The Main Inn is a beautifully restored nineteenth century
farm house furnished in antiques with one suite and two bedrooms.
The Garden View Apartment is a modern, luxurious first floor apartment
with three bedrooms and a Jacuzzi bathtub placed by a large window
overlooking a woodsy vista. The Deck View Apartment is a second story
three bedroom apartment with a spacious living room with a wood
burning stove. The Montana Cabin is a two-story, three-bedroom
luxurious cabin with a cathedral ceiling and tall windows in the
living room that create a spacious and luminous interior space. It
has a wrap around deck, Jacuzzi tub and steam shower in the bathroom
and is nestled in the woods. The Cabin in the Woods is an intimate,
rustic two-bedroom cabin with wood burning stove and an outdoor hot
tub. All facilities have fully equipped kitchens. Amenities include
wood-fired sauna, outdoor hot tub overlooking the rolling hills and
woods, and hiking trails. Massage is available by prior request.
The Conference Center can accommodate groups of up to 135 people and
offers space for meetings, workshops, retreats, wedding receptions,
family reunions, and special events.

Open year round, the 815 land acre park sits along the Ohio River, and
has an access ramp into it for boating. There is also a 102 acre lake
that permits both swimming and boating, and has an 800 foot beach,
boat dock, life guards, and concession store. Various boat rentals are
available, including canoe and paddlewheel. There are two boat ramps
into the lake, which imposes a 10hp limit. Both hunting and fishing
are permitted in the park in designated areas with a license.
Shade River State Forest, a 2,601 acre forest, adjacent to
Forked Run State Park, also offers hiking in the form of interpretive
trails.
Camp sites 151---87 have
electric hook up, 64 primitive. Campers have availability to water
and dump station at no charge. There are 3 cabins with electric-heat,
air, microwave, refrigerator, table, grill, futons which make into a
bed. Fee for cabins $40.00 per night.
